A tour of TRIUMF will be available to attendees at a cost of $8.00 US and will include bus transportation between the Sheraton Wall Centre and TRIUMF, refreshments at TRIUMF, and transportation back downtown. Sign up when you register for the conference (undergrads sign up through CEU).

There will be tours on both Wednesday and Sunday.

The working plan, to be confirmed after August 31:

• Wednesday Oct 12:
  Bus from Sheraton leaves 4:15 pm.
  TRIUMF tour 5-7 pm.
  Bus returns to Sheraton 8 pm.
• Sunday Oct 16:
  Bus from Sheraton leaves at 12:45, or 15 minutes after the last talk.
  TRIUMF tour 1:30-3:30; refreshments at end.
  Bus arrives at Sheraton at 4:15.

For tight flight plans, you can save some time: public transit between the airport and TRIUMF takes 1 hour (Airport Canada Line Skytrain-- transfer at Cambie and 41st-- Translink bus 41 stop "TRIUMF Centre"). A taxi is about $30. There will be some unsupervised storage space at TRIUMF-- TRIUMF takes no responsibility for lost or stolen items. The maximum B field at the top of the cyclotron vault is 40 Gauss, so it's OK to bring on the tour a small bag with your laptop (the size of your "2nd carry-on" or smaller, please).
